MINT-LEMON WATER

This simple recipe is inspired by the serendipity of having both a happy mint bush and a thriving Meyer lemon tree in my back yard.   They add refreshing flavor to the water.  In warm weather, I try to always keep a pitcher of this in my refrigerator.  I recommend drinking it up within a few days, as it can get bitter after that.

Place a few springs of  fresh mint and several slices of lemon  in the bottom of a clear pitcher.  Add water and ice.   Let sit for a few hours.  Serve.
