A good travel itinerary is often hard won. I usually spend a lot of time researching in advance of a trip so I can make the most of my travel time. Last year, I put together an extremely complicated and detailed itinerary for Ireland (see below) and thought how useful it would be for someone else to have it to just plug into for their own trip. So I have invited other experienced travel writers to contribute to this collection their detailed road trips, train journeys, and some whole-country itineraries. Most include information on where to stay, where to eat, and what to do. You reap the benefits of these professional travelers who have planned out the logistics and done the leg work. All you need to do is perhaps buy some tickets and make a few reservations! And, of course, you can always easily change things around to fit your own personal interests and style. Here you go.
