Mountain Lake Park
Entrance at Lake St./Funston Ave., in the Presidio, Richmond District. Free.
Well-hidden from the street, this delightful park has a lakeside path, a basketball court, tennis courts, a par course that begins at 9th Avenue, and a large, well-equipped playground off 12th Avenue. You’ll even find ducks to feed. It is interesting to note that spring-fed Mountain Lake supplied all of the city’s water between 1852 and 1870.
