HIGHWAY 5 NORTH ●CORNING

This small town is 170 somewhat flat, dreary miles from San Francisco, punctuated only by the occasional sighting of an unusual migrating bird.  It is the I-5 mid-point between Los Angeles and Portland.
 

Attractions

Olive Pit  2156 Solano St.  Everything olive is found here, in the town that is the center of the olive industry in Northern California.  Taste a vast variety of flavored olives (the best being a toss up between the greens stuffed with pimento and almond and the greens stuffed with garlic), pick up some car snacks, or chow down on fast food.
