Berkeley and Beyond

Berkeley was the first city in the state to introduce legislation regulating smoking in public places.  It was also the first city to require non-smoking sections in restaurants.  Now California is the first state in the nation to require that all restaurants and bars in the state are 100% non-smoking.  Smoking in workplaces is also prohibited.
