BERKELEY’s BEST ●Attractions
Habitot Children’s Museum 2065 Kittredge St./Shattuck Ave., downtown. Fee. Located downstairs, this subterranean museum is aimed at infants through age 7. Toddlers can pull wooden carrots out of holes in a pretend garden and crawl through a padded tunnel in an area devoted just to them. Older children can play in kid-size fire trucks, pretend to eat in a scaled-down cafe, and shop in a miniature grocery store. Costumes and a stage encourage more creativity. A toy lending library extends the fun to your home.
